The Ceroc Market Ceroc appeals to a wide range of people across all groups. However the predominant market is aged between 19 and 35 and would be classified as the ABC1 type. (Under 18's are not permitted entrance.) Over the past few years this market has been developed using marketing techniques such as busking and mailshots. The attendance numbers have been growing month by month as new people are introduced to Ceroc. There are 90,000 registered members, with a further 250 - 400 joining each week. This year alone more than 350,000 tickets will be sold for 4,000 Ceroc classes across the UK. The company image is already strong. Many well know magazines have carried articles on the dance, including Cosmopolitan, Sainsburys, Punch, and Harpers & Queen. We have also featured in newspapers such as the Independent, The Daily Telegraph, the Express and the Daily Mail. The thirty minute Channel Four documentary in 1996 further enhanced the dance's reputation, with 1.3 million people watching. However, despite all this coverage, the company has not yet undertaken a national promotion campaign, Growth has come primarily through word of mouth and through the efforts of Franchise Owners nationwide and business managers in London. Details for "The Ceroc Market" were provided by Robin Olesen. |
