The future revealed
'I’m bored' shouted Martin the other night while he was doing his door duties.
So once we had recovered from this tantrum, we decided to send him on an errand.
'Go forth' we said unto him 'and contact Mystic Meg, the all seeing one, and
see what predictions she can give about CEROC for the next five years'. Well
never being one to shirk his responsibilities he went forth. But unfortunately
for Martin, 'Mystic Meg' was not available due to some 'unforeseen circumstances'.
(Ed:- groan) However, he did manage to contact her sister 'Roaring Meg' who
lives in Stevenage. We can now reveal those revelations to you all.
2001
Brian and Dave win 'Double trouble' at the CEROC championships, with
Malcolm Kearney dancing as the man. Hutton Hall is now extended to cater for
the 200 + regular attendees. The extensions include a garage for parking Robin’s
Bentley and a bike shed for parking Lynn and Martins tandem. Dave Newton now
weighs in at 24 stone, having been forced to eat all of Carols cakes for the
last year.
2002
CEROC Welwyn/Hatfield floats on the stock exchange. All the crew get
share options except for Lynn who gets new headphones and Martin who gets a
new desk. Ruth and Mike finish a complete dance without discussing a new move.
Hatfield CEROC union grows to 120 members. Rita gets the admittance sheet to
balance for the first time. Pat and Gina and their family win 1st prize at Robins
'Famous Pop groups' tea dance at the Albert Hall, just for coming as the 'Nolans.'
2003
Tragic accident when Malcolm Kearney shuts all his fingers in his accordion
at the same time. Phil 'we’re not worthy' Roberts, who now runs CEROC Western
Hemisphere from his Yacht off the Bahamas, opens his 1st venue on the moon called
'MOONCEROC'. Mike puts Sarah into a spin which lasts 3 mins & totals 89 revolutions.
In March CEROC had to be cancelled due to a mass union walkout when Robin insisted
that Lynn played The Mavericks 'Dance the night away'
2004
Lynn and Robin’s ancestry is traced & it is confirmed that they are
in fact twins. Robin is said to be inconsolable. Phil Roberts has to shut down
MOONCEROC due to a 'lack of atmosphere'. Sara creates a new world record, doing
117 spins in one single dance. Malcolm Mckenzie gets hypnotised watching her.
2005
Michaella Walkers world famous 'spare arm' finally seizes up & can’t
be lowered. She has to seek alternative employment as a street sign in Bedford.
Robin and Ruth go into partnership. CEROC evening format is now changed to include
a beginners, intermediate and reflexology class.
