Inside this issue:
Whose Crew! This Issue : Sara Paulson
In
this issue we speak to Sara Paulson an ex taxi dancer and now a fully fledged
door person and also one of our demonstrators. Sara is a Nanny but says that
she will work anywhere she is wanted. She lives in a house (Ed:- typical answer
from a crew member), and is also our birthday girl, having just recently reached
the grand old age of 21. She is the proud owner of a Renault and her hobby is
dancing.
How when and where did you start Cerocing?
I started about 4 years ago in Letchworth.
How often do you go to CEROC and to what venues?
2-3 times a week. Hatfield on Tuesdays, and Letchworth on a Monday and Thursday.
What made you decide to be a taxi dancer and why do you do
it?
Robin made me!!! And also because it’s fun.
You are now a demonstrator as well. How did your first demo
go
Very badly on my part, due to excessive nerves.
How do you remember the moves?
I don‘t, I make them up as I go along!
Do you have a favourite move?
Yes the ladies spin, spin, spin, spin, spin, spin, with somebody to catch me
at the end.
What are your favourite Ceroc dance tracks?
“Fever” by Peggy Lee, “Dance the night away” by the Mavericks, “That don’t impress
me much” & “Man I feel like a woman” by Shania Twain.
What type of music do you like?
Everything and anything……...apart from “Blur” and “Oasis”.
And your favourite groups?
Terrorvision, All Saints, Eternal, Extreme, Bon Jovi and lots of different boy
bands. …………….should I have admitted that. (Ed:- It’s not a problem because Dave
and Bryan still dote on the Bay City Rollers)
What other hobbies do you have?
Being happy and spinning!
How do you relax?
I don‘t very often but I listen to music or go dancing.
Any ambitions?
To break the world record for the amount of spins in 1 dance move by the time
I’m 22
Any advice for beginners?
Smile. If you look as if your having a good time then no one will notice if
your doing the same moves. Also if you make a mistake don’t stop, but keep going
with a different move, then go back to that move and keep practising it.
